Individual Therapy for Women in Studio City, Los Angeles
A space to explore your relationships, understand your emotional needs, and make choices that feel true to you.
Does this sound familiar?
Maybe you’ve spent so much time considering everyone else’s feelings that you’ve lost sight of your own.
You might be someone who appears capable and put-together on the outside, yet privately struggles with anxiety, self-doubt, or the pressure to get everything right.
In your relationships, you might find yourself overthinking interactions, worrying about where you stand with someone, or repeating dynamics you don’t fully understand.
You may find yourself questioning your decisions, feeling guilty when you set boundaries, or wondering why certain experiences affect you so deeply.
And sometimes, even when life looks good on paper, something doesn’t feel quite right.
Individual therapy for women in Studio City offers an opportunity to explore those feelings without having to minimize, explain away, or immediately fix them.
When You're Used to Putting Yourself Last
It’s easy to lose touch with yourself when you’ve spent years being the dependable one, the understanding one, or the person who keeps everything together.
Perhaps you’ve learned to avoid conflict, anticipate other people’s needs, or push aside uncomfortable emotions to maintain a sense of stability.
Over time, these habits can leave you feeling exhausted, resentful, uncertain, or disconnected from what you genuinely want.
Therapy can help you become more aware of the expectations you’ve internalized, the emotions you’ve learned to suppress, and the ways you may be holding yourself back.
Not so you can become a different person, but so you can begin making room for more of who you already are.
How I can help
What We Can Explore Together
Anxiety and Overthinking
When your mind rarely feels quiet, even small decisions can become overwhelming. In anxiety therapy, we can explore the fears and expectations behind persistent worry and help you develop a different relationship with uncertainty.
Self-Worth and Perfectionism
If your sense of worth depends on achievement, approval, or getting things right, it can be difficult to feel genuinely satisfied. Therapy can help you examine these expectations and develop a more compassionate, stable sense of self and greater self-esteem.
Boundaries and People-Pleasing
Saying no shouldn’t have to feel like you’re disappointing someone or putting a relationship at risk. Together, we can explore what makes setting boundaries difficult and how to honor your needs while remaining connected to others.
Dating, Breakups, and Relationship Challenges
Whether you’re recovering from a breakup, navigating dating, or questioning what you want from a relationship, relationship-focused therapy can help you make sense of your experiences and approach future relationships with greater intention.
Family Relationships and Expectations
The roles we take on within our families can continue shaping our choices long into adulthood. We can explore how those expectations influence your sense of responsibility, independence, and identity today.
Life Transitions and Identity
Career changes, divorce, shifting friendships, and new chapters of adulthood can bring up unexpected emotions. Therapy for life transitions offers room to process what you’re leaving behind and consider what you want to move toward.
My approach
An Approach That Goes Beyond the Surface
My work with individual clients draws from attachment theory, psychodynamic therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), with an emphasis on understanding the emotional experiences that shape how you see yourself and navigate the world.
Rather than approaching anxiety, self-criticism, or people-pleasing as isolated problems, we’ll explore the experiences and beliefs that may be contributing to them.
I’m interested in helping you become curious about your inner world, including the parts of yourself that feel conflicted, vulnerable, protective, or difficult to understand.
Our sessions are collaborative and conversational. I’ll offer reflection, ask questions, and help you notice connections that may not have been obvious before.
There is room for both insight and practical change, without pressure to have everything figured out.
What Might Begin to Feel Different
The changes that come from individual therapy aren’t always dramatic or immediate.
Sometimes they begin in quieter ways.
You may notice that you’re able to make a decision without endlessly second-guessing yourself. That you can express disappointment without feeling guilty. That you recognize when you’re taking responsibility for something that isn’t yours to carry.
Or that you’re becoming more comfortable trusting your own perspective, even when someone else sees things differently.
These shifts can create more room for confidence, emotional flexibility, and a sense of agency in your everyday life.
