ARAMESH AFSHAR, LMFT
A therapist who believes meaningful change begins with feeling understood
I’ve always been genuinely curious about people, what makes us who we are, how we experience the world, and why relationships can bring out so many different sides of us. It’s that curiosity, along with a real appreciation for the complexity of being human, that drew me to this work.
I’m warm, curious, and collaborative, but I’m also direct when I think it can be helpful. I believe there’s room in therapy for meaningful conversations, honest reflection, and even a little humor. Most importantly, I want our work to feel like a genuine connection where you can show up exactly as you are.
Education & Credentials
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California and earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University.

- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Externship
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Core Skills Training
I continue to pursue advanced training because I believe my clients deserve care that is both compassionate and grounded in approaches supported by research.
My Areas of Focus
I primarily work with:
Women
Women experiencing anxiety, self-worth struggles, attachment wounds, and unhealthy relationship patterns.
Couples
Couples who want to improve communication, rebuild trust, strengthen emotional connection, and move out of recurring cycles of conflict.
What You Can Expect Working With Me
Clients often describe me as warm, collaborative, and direct.
I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely understood while also being gently challenged to see yourself and your relationships in new ways. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to help you better understand yourself so you can make choices that align with the life and relationships you want to create.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship struggles, or feeling disconnected from yourself, we’ll work together to understand the deeper patterns that keep showing up and create lasting change one step at a time.
Hi, I’m Aramesh Afshar
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Los Angeles, with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University.
I specialize in working with women and couples who feel stuck in emotional or relational patterns they can’t seem to break. My work is rooted in attachment theory and informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based approach that helps create deeper, more secure connections.
In our work together, I focus on helping you understand what’s happening beneath the surface—so you can move out of cycles of anxiety, disconnection, or miscommunication and into relationships that feel more grounded, mutual, and fulfilling.
My style is warm, collaborative, and direct. I’m here to help you not just gain insight, but create real, lasting change.
